Pandemic : a lockdown story.

"Lockdown" the word i have just heard before now get to experience it.

The nationwide lockdown has changed how we live our lives, with anxiety and uncertainty often taking over as we stay confined within four walls

Every one or the other person has gone through this atrocious phase in recorded history. From watching every series on Netflix to being unemployed. Every one has their own versions of lockdown - Every jr. student had gone through their boring home vacations while elder students just got more depressed for their jobs.

As we know that the coronavirus cases are increasing rapidly. Not only India, but the whole world is going through this Coronavirus pandemic. Due to this situation, the government had extended the lockdown for more days. Along with India, many countries around the world had implemented quarantine and lockdown to slow down the spread of the infectious virus

So coming out of lockdown before we’re ready to impose other measures like contact tracing, vaccines, treatments, masks which can keep the virus at frontier meaning that going back into lockdown, would be a catastrophe

Yes, the coronavirus is deadly. But so is the lockdown it will undoubtedly kill people. The restrictions are also having a very real effect on our happiness, health and wellbeing, from being jobless and loneliness

Perhaps it will turn out that the virus is less deadly than we think, which could theoretically mean that the impact of the lockdown is worse than the disease

Philip Thomas, a professor of risk management at the University of Bristol has modelled the impacts of the lockdown, was more wary. But they all agree the length of the lockdown is key, so unless we know how quickly the economy recovers, we can’t be sure how many lives will be lost to it.

Apart from these things, there are several positive and negative effects of lockdown on the environment.

Dropped air pollution  -  Due to the lockdown, air pollution suddenly dropped all over the world. This is one of the major positive effects on the environment because of the coronavirus outbreak. Because several industries are temporarily shut down, there is only an emergency vehicle on the road; that’s why the whole world is pollution-free.

Clean water bodies  -  Because of the coronavirus, the number of tourists reduced so that all the water of seas and rivers is cleaner than they have been in living memory The change in the water is amazing for marine life.

Use Of Domestic Energy  -  In the whole world, more and more people are at their homes due to the lockdown. So in this situation, the use of domestic energy is increasing. This also becomes one of the major effect of lockdown on environment.

So a carefully constructed approach towards lockdown will strike the right balance between preparation and trauma.
